We’re wide awake and ready to serve our delicious range of artisan breads, hand-made pastries, sourdough pizza slices and, of course, our particularly satisfying coffees, and teas – six days a week.

National and local recognition

Our bread is much appreciated by out loyal Lewes customers, and recently we have been getting national attention. We are one of only a handful of bakeries growing our own heritage wheat varieties; grown by third generation farmer Fred Wetton in the South Downs national Park, using ancient wheat varieties from John Letts  seed bank, and stone ground at Offley Mill. This, and our traditional methods have been recognised and rewarded with nominations in Delicious Food Magazine and Sussex Food and drink.

Pre-Order / Wholesale

The Way We Roll (no pun intended)

Are products are hand made and baked on site. For most of our breads and pastries we use our very own heritage flour, and with everything else, we source locally from trusted suppliers we have longstanding relationships with.
